On January 4, the senior mission, which was led by Peter Christian, President of the Federated States of Micronesia, and composed of ministers of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Justice and governor of the Yap State, took Y-12E to Koror, capital of Palau, for discussing matters on route opening.
On January 5, at the invitation of the traditional leaders of Ulithi and Fais, the outer islands of the Yap State, Chinese ambassador to the Federated States of Micronesia Li Jie took Y-12E to the outer islands with ministers of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Justice of the Federated States of Micronesia, governor of the Yap State and local traditional leaders.
